Bio: Twenty years ago, a young man wanted to race stock cars. While not flush with finances, he had drive and desire. With the support of his family it was decided that racing was fine, as long as he created the extra income to cover the expense of the hobby. So he began to do some basic auto repair jobs for friends and family on nights and weekends in his home garage. Soon he was working on cars for friends of the friends and so on , and so on. This allowed him to afford and enjoy the racing hobby for the next 10 years. At that point, the thrill of weekly competition was being offset by the increasing demand on his time it took to remain competitive. Racing had become a “job”. It was decided he would step back from the hobby while he was at the height of success and winning, and just enjoy competing 2-3 times per year and again enjoy racing as a fun and relaxing hobby, as it once was. Although the weekly racing grind and the financial requirements that go with it were behind him, folks still kept bringing their vehicles to him for service. He continued to do the repairs over the next few years, until in 1999, he again found himself working the full time corporate day job, and now what had grown to a full time night and weekend job repairing and servicing vehicles. Again a decision had to be made. He decided to jump in with both feet, resign from the security of the corporate day job, and give it a go working for himself. Anderson Automotive was born. That desire and drive once reserved for racing, now drove the growth and expansion of the business from then on. Eleven years, and three expansions later, Anderson Automotive is what it is today.
